Quick table of the upcoming pokemon tcg sets release dates

Hey, we will keep this list updated when new pokemon sets are revealed.

September 22, 2023: Scarlet & Violet – 151

September 22, 2023: Scarlet & Violet - 151

This might just be one of the most exemplary sets in Pokémon TCG history, featuring the iconic original 151 Pokémon from the Kanto region. These Pokémon are sequenced through the set as they appear in the original Pokedex.

While it may not revolutionize the competitive landscape, for collectors, the 151 set is like a treasure trove.

The Japanese version has already proven its immense desirability, with a couple of the most coveted cards from the set, including the Illustration Rare Mew ex, being reserved for promos in English. This modification might temper the pursuit somewhat, but it’s poised to remain one of the most esteemed sets ever.

Excitingly, this set will mark the triumphant return of Kadabra to the Pokémon TCG, making its first appearance in nearly two decades, reinstating its legacy in the illustrious lineup of TCG sets.

November 3, 2023: Scarlet & Violet – Paradox Rift

November 3, 2023: Scarlet & Violet - Paradox Rift

The Pokémon TCG is set to undergo a metamorphosis with the introduction of Paradox Rift, the fourth main set in the Scarlet & Violet series.

This installment is anticipated to bring substantial shifts to the meta game by debuting Future and Ancient Pokémon to the TCG, complemented by additional support similar to what we’ve seen with Rapid Strike and Fusion Strike cards in the past sets.

The competitive scene is particularly abuzz about Gholdengo ex from this set. The card details are as follows:

Ability: Bonus Coin

  • Once during your turn, you’re allowed to draw a card. If Gholdengo ex occupies the Active Spot, you have the liberty to draw 2 cards instead.

[M] Gold Rush: Inflicts 50x damage. You have the option to discard any number of Basic Energy cards from your hand, dealing 50 damage for each card discarded.

The activation of this attack, requiring a mere one metal energy, is incredibly advantageous, especially in the early-to-mid stages of the game. Beyond Gholdengo ex, the set is likely to see new renditions of Garchomp ex and Mewtwo ex making notable entries into the competitive domain of Pokémon TCG.

February 2024: Scarlet & Violet 4.5

In addition to main sets, there’s anticipation for another mini set to debut in early 2024. The name of this set and its comprehensive card list are still under wraps. However, some details regarding a few prospective cards are available.

Scovillain ex, Grafaiai ex, and Victini ex are poised to be part of this upcoming collection. The set will encapsulate cards that didn’t make the cut for Paradox Rift, along with any cards debuting in the Japanese Shiny Treasure set, slated for a November 2023 release.

The collection is anticipated to host approximately 80 cards prior to the unveiling of secret rare cards. This renders it notably more condensed compared to other imminent releases.

March 2024: Scarlet & Violet 5

 ACE SPEC cards

While the exact lineup of cards accompanying the fifth main set from the Scarlet & Violet era remains a mystery, we are privy to one monumental revelation: the ACE SPEC cards are marking their triumphant return to the Pokémon TCG!

Absent since the Black and White era, ACE SPEC cards are potent item cards with severe deck limitations. Players can incorporate only one ACE SPEC card in their deck, a feature bearing close resemblance to the usage of Prism Star cards observed during Sun and Moon, and Radiant Pokémon in Sword and Shield.

During the initial introduction of this mechanic, a mere 13 ACE SPEC cards, including notable ones like Computer Search, Scoop Up Cyclone, and Master Ball, were printed. With the reintroduction of ACE SPEC to the Pokémon TCG in this upcoming set, we may witness the resurgence of these exceptional cards.

That’s all the upcoming pokemon tcg set releases we know of for now. We will keep you updated when new sets are revealed.
